ingredients:
- 500g butter, softened
- 4 tablespoons icing sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 4 teaspoons instant coffee or four pods dissolved in a little water
- 1kg of flour
- 500g dark chocolate
- For decoration: walnuts or almonds or crushed white chocolate
method:
Mix the dough ingredients in the order starting with the softened butter and the sugar, yeast and coffee, then gradually pour the flour so that the dough is soft and easy to spread.
Spray flour the work surface and roll out the dough to about 1cm thick if you decide not to stick the cake for my part I spread thinly and paste them 2 by 2 with jam. Cut round shapes.
Lay the pieces on a floured flat. Bake until cooked through and let cool.
Glue the 2 by 2 cakes with jam if you're like me, or dip them directly into the melted chocolate, out with a fork and place on parchment paper. Ask a walnut kernels, almonds crushed or decorate with white chocolate. Leave to dry in a cool place
