Deep-Fried Apple Pies
Makes 12 fried pies 
10 ounces puff pastry4 Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples
4 tablespoons unsalted butter1/2 cup light brown sugar1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon bourbon
1 teaspoon apple vinegar cider1 teaspoon vanilla
3 quarts oil, for frying
1/4 cup granulated sugar2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
